Meet handsome little Tux, a gorgeous Terrier mix with a big personality, an affectionate nature and plenty of love to give! 💙🐾

Tux is approximately 1 year and 7 months old and weighs just 8kg, making him a lovely little companion.

He's currently enjoying life in a foster home in Oldham, where he's living alongside four other dogs and showing just what a sweet, playful and loving little character he can be.

Tux is a boy who absolutely adores his people. He loves being close to his favourite humans, happily curls up on your lap for cuddles and would be delighted to have a family who will make him feel like a very special part of their lives. ❤️

He's now looking for a forever home where he can enjoy all the love, companionship and security he deserves.

🐶 Personality & Temperament

Tux is a happy, affectionate little boy with a lovely playful side.

He's very people-oriented and absolutely loves attention from the humans he knows and trusts. Whether that's curling up on your lap for a cuddle, following you around the house or simply enjoying being close to you, Tux is happiest when he's spending time with his favourite people. 🥰

He's also a big fan of toys!

Balls and toys are definitely among his favourite things, and he thoroughly enjoys having opportunities to play and have some fun.

Despite being a relatively young dog, Tux is also learning to enjoy a nice balance between playtime and relaxing around the home.

He's crate trained and can be left for approximately 3–4 hours, which is a lovely foundation for his future family to build on.

Tux currently shares his foster home with four other dogs and is comfortable living alongside canine companions. However, he doesn't necessarily need another dog in his forever home, and we think he could be equally happy as the only dog, enjoying plenty of individual attention. Tux is currently living with dogs of all sizes, but he does seem to prefer smaller dogs, or really calm bigger dogs.

One thing that's important to understand about Tux is that he does feel wary when he first arrives into a new home, and he really benefits from having time and space to settle into unfamiliar surroundings.

Like many rescue dogs, he can find big changes a little overwhelming initially, so he'll need a family who understand the importance of allowing him to find his feet gradually, without too many expectations or pressures in those early days. He doesn't need several weeks or months, but just a week or two where his new family can be sympathetic to him feeling a little unsure.

Once he's comfortable, Tux has so much affection and personality to share, and we think he'll make a wonderful little companion for the right family.

Other Dogs: Yes - Tux currently lives with four other dogs and could happily share his home with another suitable canine companion. He could also be equally happy as the only dog, where he can enjoy plenty of attention from his people.

Cats: Tux hasn't yet been cat tested, so we cannot confirm his suitability for a home with cats.

Children: Tux would be best suited to a home with older, dog-savvy children who understand the importance of giving dogs their own space, particularly while they're settling into a new environment.

Experience Needed: Tux would benefit from a patient, understanding family who can provide a calm, consistent routine and allow him time to adjust to his new surroundings. His adopters will need to be comfortable giving him space when he needs it, building his confidence gradually and continuing to support him with positive guidance.
