📖 His Story

Meet gorgeous Domino! 🖤🤍🐾

At around 2 years old and weighing just 12kg, Domino is a gorgeous little Pocket Pointer with the most beautiful black and white markings.

But as lovely as he is to look at, it's Domino's gentle nature and the progress he's making that really make this little boy special.

Domino was originally found as a stray and arrived at the pound incredibly nervous of people. He didn't yet understand that the people around him were there to help, and his way of coping was simply to make himself as small and invisible as possible.

He would turn his head away whenever somebody approached, almost as though he thought, "If I can't see you, you can't see me." 💔

Thankfully, Domino has now moved into a foster home in Cyprus, and after just 11 days in a home environment, we're already seeing the most wonderful changes.

The little dog who initially spent much of his time tucked away in the bathroom, which he had chosen as his safe place, is now happily pottering around the bungalow, exploring his surroundings and becoming more comfortable with everyday home life.

And every little bit of progress feels huge. ❤️

🐶 Personality & Temperament

Domino is a beautiful, sweet and incredibly gentle boy who is gradually learning that he is safe and that people can be trusted.

In just a short time, he has started actively looking towards his foster family for reassurance. Where he would previously avoid eye contact, he is now beginning to look at his humans and seek guidance from them, which is such a lovely sign of the trust beginning to develop.

He's also discovering that life can actually be fun!

Domino has started playing with toys and, even more wonderfully, playing with his foster sibling. Having another dog alongside him has made an enormous difference, giving him someone to watch, learn from and take confidence from.

His foster sibling is showing him all those little things that confident dogs already understand - that people can be kind, homes can be safe and there are toys to play with, comfy places to relax and lots of lovely things to discover.

For this reason, Domino will need another friendly, confident resident dog in his forever home. We feel having that canine companionship will be incredibly important in helping him continue to blossom.

Domino isn't a dog who needs to be pushed or rushed. He simply needs people who are happy to let him discover the world at his own pace, celebrating all those little milestones as they come.

And considering how far he has already come in such a short time, we can't wait to see the dog he becomes. ❤️
