📖 His Story

Meet the gorgeous Muttley 💙

Muttley has come such a long way, and it is incredibly special to see him now enjoying the simple pleasures of home life.

When he first arrived at the pound, Muttley was heartbreakingly thin, exhausted and frightened. He spent his first days curled tightly in his bed, unsure of the world around him. With patience, gentle words and plenty of love from the volunteers, he slowly began to understand that he was safe.

As his confidence grew, so did his personality, and the sweet, loving boy underneath finally began to shine.

Now Muttley is thriving in foster in Bradford and is available for meet & greets. His foster family tell us he has settled into home life beautifully. He sleeps through the night in his crate, gets on wonderfully with the other dogs and absolutely adores people and cuddles.

He's doing brilliantly with his house manners too - his foster mum says, "You'd think he's always lived in a home!"

Muttley has even enjoyed his first pub visit, where he loved every minute of all the attention. He really is happiest when he's surrounded by people and receiving lots of fuss!

🐶 Personality & Temperament

At around 4½ years old and a healthy 37kg, Muttley is a big softie with an enormous heart.

He absolutely loves his people and is happiest when he's close by, enjoying affection and companionship. He's friendly, gentle and wonderfully affectionate, with a lovely nature that makes him incredibly easy to fall in love with.

Muttley also loves other dogs and has settled beautifully alongside his foster friends.

He enjoys gentle walks and little adventures, but due to an old injury from his past, which is now fully healed, he is best suited to a slower, more relaxed pace of life. He doesn't need to be running marathons - comfortable walks, plenty of rest, cosy naps and lots of love are much more his style.

And after a gentle adventure, there's nothing Muttley enjoys more than settling down somewhere comfortable for a well-earned snooze. 💤
