📖 His Story

Meet gorgeous Franco! 💙

Franco is a wonderfully affectionate boy who has been winning hearts since the moment he arrived in our care.

He was found as a stray and, although the pound environment itself wasn't his favourite place to be, he quickly showed everyone that people are very much his favourite thing. He was friendly from the very first minute and settled into the daily routine within just a few days.

At around 17kg, with a couple more kg to gain to get to his ideal weight, Franco is a lovely medium-sized boy who is now ready to leave kennel life behind and find a family who can give him the companionship, exercise and affection he absolutely thrives on.

🐶 Personality & Temperament

Franco is incredibly affectionate and one of those dogs who simply wants to be close to his people. He's a real human-loving boy who enjoys plenty of attention, cuddles and interaction, and he has a wonderfully warm and loving personality.

He is a happy, enthusiastic character who gets very excited when he sees someone he loves. His preferred method of saying hello is an enthusiastic little jump and cuddle, rather like he's trying to give you a hug! He's not mouthy or forceful, he just has lots of affection to give and sometimes struggles to contain his excitement.

Franco is also a huge fan of food, toys and adventures. He absolutely loves his toys and has the funniest habit of "talking" to them while he plays. He's also a brilliant traveller and gets incredibly excited when he sees the car, happily running straight to the door because he knows an adventure is about to begin. Once he's on the road, he settles beautifully and enjoys the journey.

He is wonderful with other dogs and regularly mixes with dogs of different sizes and personalities. Franco enjoys a good game with his canine friends but also has lovely social awareness. If another dog isn't interested in playing, he'll happily give them space, and he's very respectful when another dog tells him they've had enough.

Franco is also doing well with his lead walking. He's already relatively good on the lead and is continuing to learn and develop his walking skills. He has shown no reactivity towards other dogs while out and about.

This is a boy who will thrive in a home where he can be part of family life, enjoy plenty of companionship and have regular opportunities for exercise, play and adventure.
