How to Adopt
How Our Adoption Process Works
We rehome dogs through two carefully managed adoption routes, depending on where the dog is currently based. In both cases, our priority is always the same: to find safe, loving, and permanent homes where each dog can truly thrive.
1. Adopting Directly from Cyprus to the UK
Our main focus is rehoming dogs directly from Cyprus into their forever homes in the UK.
Many of the dogs we help have been found as strays and taken into Government Pounds in Cyprus, where conditions are extremely challenging and time is often limited. Our rescue works closely with local partners to identify dogs in need, provide veterinary care, and prepare them for life as a family pet.
Once matched with an approved adopter, dogs travel directly from Cyprus to the UK to join their new homes. Throughout this process, we offer guidance and support to adopters, from the initial application right through to settling the dog in at home.
This route allows us to save dogs straight from the pounds and gives them the best possible chance of a fresh start in a loving environment.
2. Adopting a Dog Based in the UK
From time to time, we also have dogs available for adoption within the UK.
These dogs may be:
Dogs we have flown from Cyprus into UK foster homes to help them find their forever families
Dogs who were previously adopted but have sadly been returned to our care due to changes in their family’s circumstances
UK-based dogs that we have been able to help through our rescue work
Dogs in UK foster care live in a home environment, which allows us to better understand their personalities, training needs, and suitability for different types of households. This can be a great option for adopters who would prefer to meet a dog in person before adopting.
In the links below you’ll find full details of both our Cyprus and UK adoption processes, including what to expect at each stage and a clear breakdown of our adoption fees, which help cover veterinary care, travel, and ongoing rescue costs.
